Great place to play some of your favorite table top games or discover a new one!

Friend brought me to play a me first magic tournament here. I got completely destroyed with me 15 year old deck. Consolation prize was a bunch on newer cards. Almost enough to make an entire now new deck.

This place is tabletop game madness! The staff here is friendly and super helpful with a plethora of knowledge that they’re willing to share about all of the games in the store. There are multiple areas to play in, some that are free and others that are available to reserve and rent. They have a schedule full of fun and interesting things to do in the store that is updated regularly. The facilities are kept clean and tidy, and the shelves stocked. If you’re looking to get miniatures for your game night or a gift for someone who likes boardgames, this is the place to go.

It's a smallish store but filled with fun game and model painting things. Shortages due to COVID can be a factor in things like paints they have available, though. You might want to call before you drive to check if they have what you want. There is some gaming / teaching space.

Game Kastle (Reno)
Fenomenal place! Dave, the owner, is one of the nicest people I've ever met. They have a large selection of games and host weekly gatherings for MTG. I’m sure they do other stuff as well. Everyone is extremely friendly and courteous. You definitely need to check this place out!
Gabe C. — 3 months ago
The single cleanest, most welcoming game store in all of Reno. Lots open play space, plenty of free events, and even during Pandemic shortages Dave will do his best to get you the supplies to game (Even if he ends up unable to find them). They have the best miniature paint selection out of any store in town, and a wide variety of supported products. Dave is a really cool guy with a down-to-earth but very professionao demeanor. His employees are also incredibly knowledgeable, and have helped me find several alternatives to paints and shades that are hard to get in this global shortage. The store is ALWAYs well-kept. No stacks of comic books strewn about tables. No piles of MTG cards all over the place. No piles of old promotional stuff or ancient unsold product in the corners. I really does stand out from any other single LGS in town.

When I tell you this place is a massive haven for tabletop enjoyers of all games and player types, I feel like.i'm underselling it. There's a ton of space for activities! The manager Dave is a sweetheart who really enjoys the store and all the hobbies. There's board games, several popular card games, miniatures and hobby paints, RPG books, and tons more! And did I mention all the space to play these games in? Do yourself a favor and stop by, say hello to the super friendly staff, and support this local business.

Was very surprised of how much paint that they had! A very large selection to choose from, I will be coming back for sure! The staff was very helpful. And very pleasant as well!

Friendly staff, and open later than most other games stores, so you can get games in after work if you want. Huge selection of boards games and a decent selection of miniatures as well. Would recommend checking out.

Honestly such a great story! Plenty of tables and a nice staff, great selection of both hobby games and paints!

This store is a wonderful new addition to Reno's hobby community. Their friendly staff is very knowledgeable about the impressive selection of board games they have in stock. And, of even greater interest to myself personally, they also stock a wide variety of paints and terrain making products, far larger than that of any other hobby store I have yet encountered in the Reno area. This Game Kastle is a very well run store, and I highly any encourage any fellow hobby enthusiasts to give it a look!

Game Kastle (Sacramento)
Joey runs a fantastic store here that has a really strong community and tons going on every week. The game and miniatures selection is excellent and the staff are friendly and helpful. Lost of open tables for gaming. They also have rentable gaming space if you want something private.

very corporate and unfriendly atmosphere. things are marked up like crazy such as a d&d book collection for 160 dollars over the usual 90 something dollars found online. card sleeves behind the counter are unmarked in price, but come to be significantly more expensive than you'd expect by the time you are rung up. as for the staff, they are clearly more worried about following the current mandate regarding masks than providing a welcoming experience. i have heard multiple people arrive at the store only to be instantly asked if they have a mask. no "hi, we have tables in the back if you want" or "hi, welcome to our store". nothing of the sort. these people had their walk-in experience make them feel like they've done something wrong and have been judged by the soulless workers there who most likely don't care if they sell anything, as long as their terrible tournaments are able to be run and the participants get advertisements fed to them during. tldr: unwelcoming staff who are disinterested in the customer or in providing a nice atmosphere. prices are ludicrous to the point of being insulting. got ripped off once, never buying a thing again.

I'm new to this kind of gaming and the staff here have been amazing in helping me ease into it. From recommendations, to help understanding Warhammer, they're amazing. Courteous and friendly at all times. The store is clean, and well organized. Excellent selection, despite it being a somewhat smaller store. There's also an awesome play area in the back, that one day I'll take advantage of. Overall, my favorite game store in Sacramento.

This store is super close to my house. I'm happy we have such a great game store so close. The store is clean and most of the staff is upbeat and friendly. I would suggest any and all game players to stop in. If you are a traditional boardgame player, stop by and find something new. If you are an experienced boardgame player, come by and get an extension pack for your favorite game!

Great selection. Helpful and enthusiastic staff. I came in for a particular box of Warhammer, but spent 15 more minutes just checking out all the bits, tools, paints and modeling supplies.

New location. Not as big as the old mountain view store but still enough room to fit ample gaming tables and merchandise. Will definitely be coming here to get model paints.

Really big game store with lots of gaming tables. Huge selection of games and miniatures. Biggest range of paints, weathering effects and brushes I've seen. Tons of MIG. AK interactive, citadel

My first time there Tona showed me around, answered all my questions, and even made some really helpful suggestions about supplies I'd need. There's a lot of gaming tables with cool terrain that are free to use, and the store had a lot of products in stock that seem sold out everywhere else. Overall, I had a great first experience and will return.

Wonderful huge well lit gaming space for community gathering! Bring your own or borrow games. Tons of excellent merchandise for miniature painting and board games. Keep local stores alive, play and buy from where you live! And no I don't work for them :)

They'll have everything for tabletop gaming from board games that you don't see in major box stores to mtg and 40k. They also have events such as commander sundays which I will be attending

Game Kastle (Fremont)
Place was pretty sweet. The people there are nice and not pushy. They have new school and old school dragon shields. Singles and all kinds of other board games, 40k stuff, playing sections. Cool store.

Great staff. Answered all questions. Best part is the game room area where you can demo their stash of games. We tried out a few games with our 5 year old, seeing what she liked and could grasp. Will definitely go back.

Love these guys! Large selection of paints, many different games stocked, it's heavenly. Not as big as RWC location.

Stopped in for the first time since moving to Fremont and I have to say I'm really impressed by the selection. I need to go back just to take it all in again. Lol as for the employee that was working... he was great. Very informative and super friendly. I can't wait to go back, much to the chagrin of my girlfriend. Lol

Very diverse selection of D&D, Warhammer and Star Wars legion items. They have a nice selection of paints. We had no problem with parking. I am a little disappointed that they don’t carry Gundam

Great place for picking up the latest expansion for your favorite board game or look for new ones. The staff is attentive and knows their stuff. Has some Magic but it is not their main focus. Has additional locations in Santa Clara and Mt View.
Christopher Lang — 8 months ago
Very helpful staff. Easy to find new highly rated games. Very roomy. During COVID-19 requires wearing a mask to enter and limited to 15 people in the store at a time. Parking is in back. The lot also has an entrance off Main which is off Union. During rush hour that driveway might be easier top enter than trying to make a left of Washington if you're coming from Fremont Blvd. Next door is at least one restaurant. Across the street from a Burger King and near Safeway.

I've been in here a few times, even though this wasn't the closest location for me. The guys in here have always been very friendly and eager to help whenever I walk on the door. Definitely like the vibe of the store and would recommend anybody. One word of caution which isn't this store's fault, Google maps will not take you directly to the store. The entrance for the store is around the block behind from where it thinks you should park. It's not bad at all, but it will probably be confusing on your first trip.

Game Kastle Austin
This store is practically in my backyard and I couldn't be happier. The store is sparkling clean and there is layout is really nice. Some crazy person even alphabetized all of the shelves (thank you) and the game selection is top-notch. There are tons of miniatures to browse and an impressive selection of paints. The dice display is brilliant and they even had the miniature-European sized card sleeves that I needed to get Spirit Island fully sleeved. There is a ton of gaming space featuring several different table styles and the layout is such that you can game comfortably distanced from other groups. If all this wasn't enough to convince you to shop here, the staff is super accommodating and chill. I'm excited to go back.

What a hidden gem! They have more supplies for minis than I have seen in any other store in Austin- bases, grasses, paints. Gorgeous selections of dice. An area where you can play games. And it feel very safe with current covid times- they have hand sanitizer to put on when you enter the store and even extra face masks if you don't have one with you for some reason. The person working today was very friendly and helpful too. I'm excited to paint minis there once it's a bit safer.

Masks are required, some of you love it, some of you hate it... Great place though, very generous with in-house terrain for Warhammer 40k gaming
Robert Huey — 4 months ago
If you want to sit around a table with people and wear a mask pretending you won't catch covid in a group setting then go to this place. If you disagree with their policies they talk trash. No one else in Austin requires masks except these geniuses.

The Game Kastle is an awesome shop that deserves more of your attention. Split pretty evenly between board games and tabletop games (minis-based war games), there is an awesome collection there for whatever you want. I'm more of a board game person myself, but I got some great information on tabletop games while there! I've added a couple to my list, in fact. During this time where you're likely spending more time inside than ever before, go and buy yourself a board game from here.
